At its heart is an imposing 111-cubic-inch S&S V-twin, paired with the unmistakable proportions and hand-finished character that made American IronHorse motorcycles so distinctive.

The motorcycle is showing just 3,251 kilometres and has been freshly detailed. More importantly, it has recently undergone extensive documented engine work by The Dog’s Hogs Motorcycle Repair Ltd., including a complete oversized top-end rebuild and professional machine-shop servicing.

The engine top end was completely dismantled after an inspection identified excessive cylinder-to-piston clearance and leaking head gaskets. The cylinders, heads and oversized piston kit were then sent for professional machine-shop service before the engine was carefully rebuilt and prepared for its initial start-up and testing.

Work completed included:

• Complete top-end inspection and condition assessment
• Cylinder heads and cylinders removed
• Cylinders measured for roundness and rebuild suitability
• Cylinders professionally cleaned, serviced and bored
• Cylinder heads professionally cleaned
• Oversized pistons and rings professionally fitted
• New top-end gaskets and sealing surfaces prepared
• Cylinders, heads and valve train reassembled
• Engine timing verified
• Fasteners torqued in the proper sequence
• Initial oiling and rotation checks completed
• Engine test-run following reassembly
• Existing starter motor diagnosed and repaired
• Replacement battery installed

More than $4,200 in recent documented shop and machine work was completed, in addition to the top-end rebuild parts purchased separately.

Because the rebuild is fresh, the motorcycle remains within its initial break-in and monitoring period. The next owner should continue to monitor oil level, engine temperature, starting behaviour and any signs of leakage during the first rides.
